1:1 Coaching for Christians

You don't have
an anxiety problem.
You have an identity problem.

The anxiety. The falling and getting up and falling again. That's the fruit. Everyone's been attacking the fruit. Nobody's gone after the root and that's why nothing has changed.

The Real Problem

You keep cutting the fruit.
But the root is still there.

You've tried everything. And you're still stuck. That's not a sign you're broken. It's a sign you've been working at the wrong level. Fruit grows back. You have to go after the root to change the fruit.

1
You restart every week.
You've been in this loop for months. Maybe years. And no matter how hard you try, the consistency never sticks.
2
You're doing everything right. Nothing is changing.
More effort. Same results. At some point you have to wonder if effort is even the problem.
3
You look fine on the outside. Inside is a different story.
Disciplined. Faithful. Put together. And privately exhausted. There's a gap between who people think you are and what's actually running in the background.
4
You get close. Then something pulls you back. Every time.
It's not random. It's the same move at the same moment. You can see it happening and still can't stop it.
5
You have the head knowledge. The heart hasn't caught up.
You can quote the verse. You've heard it a hundred times. But in the moment it doesn't land. That's the gap we're closing.
6
Your relationship with God rises and falls with how well you performed.
Close on good days. Far on bad ones. That's not intimacy. That's a performance review. And you're the one grading yourself.
7
You're performing for God instead of living with him.
You know the right things to say. You show up. You do the work. But somewhere underneath it you're still trying to earn something that was already given.

"Every person I've talked to has the same thing going on underneath. They don't actually believe what the Gospel says about them. That's the root. The anxiety, the cycle, the shame. That's all fruit. Change the root, the fruit changes. Your life changes."

My Story

I didn't find God.
God found me.

Andrew Newman

Andrew Newman  ·  @newmaninchrist_

My dad almost died. That's what brought me to God. I got the call and rushed to the hospital. Didn't leave for two days.

Not even a week later, everything else fell apart at the same time. My brother and I had to move out because of the living situation. No jobs. Watching the bank accounts drain down to almost nothing. Going to bed crying. Waking up crying. Anxiety all day. No idea what came next.

So I stopped trying to fix it. Fully surrendered and just told God straight: I don't know what to do. I don't know how I'm paying for anything. You are the only thing I can actually rely on. I need you.

And he showed up. The weight lifted. Peace that made no sense for the situation I was in.

But that first year following Christ, I was still doing all the same things. Drinking, smoking, psychedelics, getting with girls. Reading the Bible and escaping at the same time. Performing for God on the outside, living the opposite in private.

Then about a year ago something hit me. I realized I'd been trying to earn something that was already given. Performing for God instead of just being with him. Trying to do enough good to outrun the bad.

When that clicked, I stopped. Not because I was trying harder. Because something shifted at the root. That's the only level where it actually sticks.

I built this mentorship so you don't have to keep going in circles. Whether you're brand new to this or you've been at it for years and still feel stuck. Getting to the root level is always where the freedom is. And that's when everything changes.

Why It Hasn't Worked

You keep changing the fruit.
The root is still there.

Every approach you've tried works at the fruit level behavior, habits, discipline. None of it touches the root. And the root is the only place real change actually happens.

i.

Accountability doesn't kill the root belief

Having someone check on you is not a bad thing. But it's fruit-level work. It doesn't change what you believe when no one's watching. You fall the same way whether you have an accountability partner or not because accountability never touches the root. It doesn't.
ii.

More Bible time doesn't change a wrong belief

You can read Scripture every morning and still operate from a belief system the Bible directly contradicts. Reading more doesn't fix it. Understanding what you actually believe about who you are and what God's Word says about that is what fixes it.
iii.

Willpower runs out. Identity doesn't.

Every time you white-knuckle your way through a week, you're drawing from a limited reserve. That's why the cycle always comes back. When your actions flow from who you believe you are, they stop requiring that kind of effort.
iv.

Better habits don't fix a broken foundation

You can stack habits on top of a bad root and get short-term fruit. But the root is still wrong. That's why it works for three weeks and falls apart. You're not growing fruit you're taping it to the branches. And it always falls off.

What Actually Changes

The Gospel isn't behavioral modification.
It's identity replacement.

This is what most teaching misses. The cross didn't clean up the old you. It replaced you. When you live from that, everything downstream changes.

Romans 12:2 says to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Neuroscience calls that same process neuroplasticity the brain's actual capacity to break old neural pathways and build new ones. The Bible wasn't being poetic. It was describing something real. Your brain physically changes when your beliefs change. That's not a metaphor for feeling better. That's how God designed it to work.

We find the exact belief that's running everything

Not "you need to read your Bible more." The specific lie you believe about yourself that's driving the anxiety, the cycle. It's always the same layer we just have to get to it.

We replace it with what God actually says

Not positive thinking. Not affirmations. What the New Testament explicitly says happened to you at salvation. You're not a sinner trying to earn favor. You are a new creation. That's not a goal. It's already done.

You start living from what's true instead of reaching for it

When you actually believe you are who God says you are, you stop performing. You stop managing. You act like who you are. Because who you are has actually changed.

The anxiety loses its grip

Not through willpower. Through belief. When the root belief changes, the fruit changes. The symptoms that felt unshakeable start losing the power they had over you. They were never the problem.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

What Shifts

Not a feeling. Actual change.

This isn't about having a great quiet time. It's about what becomes permanently different when the foundation actually changes.

⚓
You know who you are and it doesn't move
No more worth that rises and falls with last night. A foundation that holds whether you won or failed this week.
🧠
The mental loop stops
The spiral at 11pm, the second-guessing, the low-grade condemnation all of it is downstream of a belief. Change the belief, the loop loses its fuel.
✝
You rest instead of reach
You've been straining toward something Christ already put in your hands. This is learning to open them.
🔥
The pull loses its power
Sin fills a hole. When you know who you are, there's no hole to fill. The temptation doesn't disappear but it stops being irresistible.
⚡
Obedience stops being a grind
When you live from identity instead of toward it, obedience becomes natural. You're expressing who you are not fighting who you used to be.
🧭
You stop being two different people
The guy at church and the guy at 11pm become the same person. Not perfect. But the same because the belief underneath is no longer split.

Who This Is For

This is for you.
Or it isn't.

I'm not trying to sell anyone. Read both sides and you'll know.

This is for you if
✓ You've been saved for years and still feel stuck in the same cycle
✓ You're done with surface-level fixes you want to know what's actually driving this
✓ You're willing to be honest about what you really believe, not just what you say you believe
✓ You want to live from the Gospel, not just know it
✓ You're ready to go after the root not manage the fruit one more time
This isn't for you if
✕ You want someone to hold you accountable and check in every week
✕ You're looking for a system to follow without examining what's underneath it
✕ You're not open to the idea that what you believe about yourself is the problem
✕ You want motivation someone to hype you up and send you back into the cycle
✕ You're comfortable where you are and not ready for something to actually change

The Cost of Waiting

You've already closed pages like this before.

You know that. And you know what happened after. Not because you didn't want to change you did. But because closing the page is the easiest move in the moment, and next week looks exactly like this week.

Anxiety doesn't go away on its own. It doesn't break without touching the belief underneath it. Two years from now, if you do nothing different, you're in the same place except two years older, with more evidence you can't change.

The call is 45 minutes. It's free. You leave knowing what the root belief is, whether we work together or not. The only thing it costs you is the time to find out what's actually going on.

"Staying stuck has a price too. It just doesn't feel like a decision."
